hot fun in the summer time

Well, once again it has been awhile since our last blog. I think I am resigned to the fact that they are going to be monthly blog posts. There just isn't much time to blog these days. This summer has been lots of fun, Kellen is at such a fun age and is learning so much everyday.  It is hard to believe that he will be 1 years old in less than 3 months. It seems like just yesterday I was sweating my butt off, hugely pregnant waiting for him to arrive.

Kellen just had his 9 month check up yesterday and he is still a big boy! He weighs 23 lbs (85th percentile) and 31.5 inches tall (97th percentile). He can say ball, mama, dada, meow and bird. Meow and bird may have been fluke events, but ball is his favorite word. He says it in actual relation to the ball. He can throw a ball (and will do it when we say "throw the ball") he waves hi and bye and will give kisses and hugs when he feels likes it. But the most exciting development of all is that he took his first steps a few weeks ago and has been practicing walking ever since. Just last night he was walking between mommy and uncle donnie back and forth across the living room! It is so amazing to watch him grow and learn new things. We are so fortunate to have such a healthy, strong baby!

Here are some photos from the last couple of months. If you are viewing these in an email and they don't all show up you can click on the "loving our baby and our little family" line at the bottom and it will bring up the actual blog. You should be able to view all photos there.

On the 4th of July downtown at the embarcadero next to the USS Midway. Kellen loved the fireworks and watched the whole show.
