Kellen is such a fun kid, I want to say baby still but he really seems more like a kid than a baby. Although of course he will always be my little baby regardless of how big and smart he gets. Anyway, Kellen is still full of energy and love. His new thing is kissing things that he likes- his stuffed animals, his books, his clothes, his reflection (and mommy and daddy from time to time if we are lucky). Kellen has also discovered the joy of hugging or rather, tackling. He has so much love to give that sometimes it can overwhelm people, well really just other babies that he "hugs". Kellen makes a bee-line for other little people about his size, throws his arms around them, snuggles his face right into theirs and squeezes and smiles and then doesn't understand why the other baby is crying. Well maybe it is because he hugs with such force that the other baby is now lying flat on the ground under Kellen's ferocious hugs. I have taken to warning other parents at the park - when Kellen approaches, "um just to warn you my son really likes to hug other babies and it tends to scare them." they are always like "oh how cute, it's fine" and it is cute until their baby is screaming and freaked out because this other baby just love tackled them. Oh well!
Here are some recent shots of Kellen in all his glory. We just love him so much!

It is so sad how fast they grow up but so amazing how much they learn and act like real little people. I have to say I'm loving this stage more than the last so I'm hoping it just always gets better. Although I do miss the baby stage from time to time. I love that Kellen hugs like that...it's really sweet!
