So let's see...what is new with us? Well, I'll start with the Kellen updates. He is now 17 months old and is such a fun kid. He is very animated and some would say dramatic (I have absolutely no idea where he got that from). He is very into Thomas the Train and all things cars, planes, and truck related. He actually plays pretend, makes the motor sounds, sets up little roads and gets really into his little make believe world. The thomas obsession is serious...you can bet kellen will say the word "thomas" at least 20 times a day (at first it was more like a 100 times a day) and he says it like it is a question, "thomas? thomas?" so cute. He is so bright and loves to talk, talk, talk. His favorite topics are animals, the zoo, the park, and of course, thomas. He is still a big boy and is usually mistaken for a 2 yr. old. He is so sweet, still loves to give hugs and will often ask for them now. He loves being outside and playing in the dirt. His awesome dance moves are getting more intricate and exciting...in the middle of busting his various moves he will go down to the ground like he is doing a push up and shake his head to the music. It's pretty intense.
Now, as for the rest of the family big changes are on the horizon. I recently found out that I have been accepted into San Diego State's Advanced Standing Masters of Social Work program. Wow, that's a mouthful. I feel very fortunate to have been accepted as they only accepted 15 students out of 400 or so for the program I applied for. The best thing about it is that I will be graduating next May with a masters in social work! It is only 1 year versus the usual 2! I can't wait to get started. the program consists of 3 summer school classes and then a full load of classes during the regular school year plus a 20 hour a week internship. I am hoping to get placed at either a hospital or an adoption agency. We'll see. The crazy part of all this is that classes start May 27th and my orientation is next week. So, I have given notice at my job and we are moving in with Sandy, my lovely and gracious mother in law. (thanks again Sandy! haha) Kellen will be going to daycare and our cats are becoming backyard cats. It is a lot to take in, but I know all the sacrifices will be so worth it when I can actually get a job that I enjoy, and can help support our family.
Here are some pictures from the last 4 months or so....btw the one at the top was taken on Christmas so it isn't a recent shot of Kellen. the most recent shots are towards the bottom.
This was sometime in December
Wow, Kellen is almost as tall as Daddy

I know it is so hard to post stuff. Like we even have an extra minute in our lives. But Kellen is so cute and getting so big, I love seeing the Pic"s. Keep them coming!
I'm so glad you posted something again! It's so fun to watch the boys grow up! Congrats on your new opportunity! My dad lives with us and I love it...he helps so much. So even though it's a transition you'll love having the extra hands!
