The other night we headed over to my Mom and Andy's new house to have dinner and hangout with the family. This was Kellen's first time over there and his first time meeting my Mom's dogs, Sara and Ricky. Sara is the border collie mix and Ricky is the poodle. Ricky was all about getting a closer view of the baby. He kept trying to snuggle up with my Mom and the baby. They both seemed to like him and were really very calm around him...well except when he started wailing when we were putting him back in his car seat to go home. Ricky looked very distressed. My Grandmother is still in town until the day after Thanksgiving and enjoyed more one on one time with my little Snugs (short for snuggles)
Sumer came over last week and finally got to meet her new nephew. I think it was love at firt sight for both of them....
Now, for the biggest shock of all...I have discovered that Kellen and I actually look alike! At first glance he definitely resembles Daddy more but upon further investigation I found out we share some features, and some facial expressions....ask yourself this - who makes the following faces, his Mommy or his Daddy? Now here is a picture of me when I was first born, notice the chin, the lips and the hairline. We look alike! I have also figured out that we have the same hands, feet and ears - YES!!!
And finally here is our little chubber bubber, he has gained so much weight! The doctor was a bit shocked. When we went to his 2 week check up we found out he had gained an average of 2 oz. A DAY! At his first appt. the day after we left the hospital he weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz., exactly 14 days later he weighs 10 lbs. 2 oz.!! I have to admit I was super proud of my super breast milk!
