Merry Christmas!

Our first Christmas with our baby boy was so special to everyone in our family. Having Kellen here this year made Christmas more magical and so much fun. Everything felt new again and it was so nice seeing how much joy he brings to everyone around him. Of course he got tons of presents and now we are thinking we definitely need a 2 bedroom to hold all of his loot. We played an evil trick on our families this year, first we tricked Brandon's side of the family and later that night we did the same for my side. Brandon handed our mom's a note with a bow and said, "Now this is a gift for the whole family, read it out loud." Then our mom's read out loud, "Merry Christmas! Number 2 is on his or her way!" they both looked like they were going to faint and surprisingly fell for it hook, line and sinker...(is that how that expression goes?!) We started laughing and said JUST KIDDING! They were both so shaken up. It was hilarious. I can't believe they fell for it though because at Brandon's parents house I was drinking a mimosa and at my mom's I was drinking a cocktail...My mom said that she fell for it because Brandon did the tricking, she thinks he is just too sweet to be tricky I guess! Anyway Christmas was tons of fun. We left our house at 10 am for Brandon's parents for brunch and presents and then headed to my Mom's in the afternoon for dinner and more gifts. We got home at 10:30 pm! Kellen was pooped, and so were we!

Here I am relaxing with my sweet snugglerKellen getting his diaper changed under the Christmas tree at Nana's
Auntie Lisa putting Kellen inside a huge santa hat for our rag tag Christmas photo shoot
He is clearly thinking "why the heck am I in this hat?!"
He loved the fuzzy part
Smiling with his new soccer wrist rattle
With Nonnie (she has changed from Nona to Nonnie since it was getting a bit confusing between his 2 grandma's, and Nonnie is special since that was what she called her Grandma)
Uncle Kevin finally meets his new nephew. This is in front of our little tree, Kevin and Amy drove 24 hours to be here from Vancouver, WA to be with us all for Christmas. It was really nice having them in town.
Auntie Lisa gives Kellen an early Christmas gift a few nights before the big day. He loves his little tiger.

From our family to yours, we hope you had a fabulous Christmas and a new year filled with lots of love, plenty of laughter and exciting surprises along the way!

That is hysterical what you did. We told our parents that we were pregnant for the first time last year at Christmas...we should have done it again! That would have been soooo funny :) Cute photos of you and your little man :)
