Well so much for being patient. After lots of thought and research I decided it was fine to give Kellen some rice cereal mixed with breast milk. I could tell he was ready, he has been making chewing motions at us while we eat, he is so interested in food and never seems full. So while in Delaware I decided to give the rice cereal a try. He loved it. Scarfed it down. He was eating so well from the spoon that I decided to see if he would take just the milk from the spoon since he refuses bottles, and he drank 2 ounces of milk from the spoon in about 5 minutes! It was awesome. I am going to wait on introducing any other solids until his 6 month appointment but until then we will continue with the rice cereal and milk. I was hoping that the cereal would help him sleep better since he still wakes up to nurse 2-4 times a night, but so far I have seen no improvements in that department. Oh well!
Even Auntie Becky wants to feed him, it's so fun...he's like a little bird.

I hear you...Jordan still wakes up to eat. We started solids 2 weeks before his 6 month apt so I could report to the doc how it was going....all that changes is some seriously stinky diapers! Ewwwww.....beware!
